While Turkey's foreign trade deficit in the first seven months of the year reached 73.5 billion liras, the most exports were made to Germany. China was the leader in foreign purchases.
According to the foreign trade data announced by TUIK on 29.08.2023, Germany took the first place in exports with 1 billion 673 million dollars in July.
Italy with 1 billion 103 million dollars, the USA with 1 billion 101 million dollars, Iraq with 978 million dollars and the United Kingdom with 962 million dollars are at the top of the export rankings.
In the January-July period, Germany ranked first in exports. 12 billion 378 million dollars were exported to this country.
* USA – $8 billion 489 million.
* Italy – $7 billion 265 million.
* United Kingdom – $6 billion 985 million.
* Iraq – $6 billion 648 million.
Exports to the first 5 countries corresponded to 29.1 percent of total exports.
Russia is the leader in imports
China took the first place in imports in July. While imports from this country were 4 billion 603 million dollars, this country was followed by Russia with 3 billion 650 million dollars, Germany with 2 billion 839 million dollars, Switzerland with 2 billion 458 million dollars and the USA with 1 billion 602 million dollars.
Imports from the first 5 countries constituted 46.9 percent of total imports.
In the January-July period, Russia took the first place in imports.
The amount of imports from this country was 28 billion 384 million dollars.
